Dr. Karen P Anderson OD
Dr. Karen Paulus Anderson was born and raised in Clear Lake, Iowa. She graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1987, after which she received an Associate in Arts & Science degree from North Iowa Area Community College at Mason City, Iowa. Dr. Anderson received the Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1991, and in 1995 received the Doctor of Optometry from the Birmingham Optometry School, also at the University of Alabama. Dr. Anderson did an independent study at the Children's Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. She has been published in the May 1996 Volume 67 Journal of American Optometric Association for her study in " Ocular abnormalities in congenital cytomegalovirus infection."

Dr. Anderson is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the Iowa Optometric Association, the American Foundation for Vision Awareness, and is a clinical examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. Dr. Anderson specializes in pediatrics, contact lenses, and treatment and management of ocular disease, but she enjoys the diversity of her primary eye care family practice.

She has returned to her home town and has been in private practice since 1995. She is a member of the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the Clear Lake Lions' pride Lion's club & enjoys volunteering for various local activities.  Dr. Anderson would like to personally invite you to Clear Lake Optometry for exceptional eye care.

Ann Hinders
Ann Hinders has been with Clear Lake Optometry since December 1999.  Ann graduated from North Iowa Area Community College in 1996 with an Associate of Arts degree.  She then earned her Bachelor of Arts with a minor in business from the University of Northern Iowa in 1999.

Ann has always been close to the Clear Lake area.  She graduated from Corwith-Wesley-LuVerne High School and currently lives in Britt with her husband, Wade, and son, Evan.  Ann is very excited about meeting everyone and helping them in any way possible.

Shelly Wander
Shelly Wander began working with Clear Lake Optometry in May of 2005. She is a graduate from North Iowa Area Community College with a degree as a Medical Office Specialist. She is a Mason City native & enjoys her home in Clear Lake with her husband Allen, & her children Robert & Brandi. She also has two step-children, Ashley & Adam, of Mason City. She is an active member in her local church, with an active role in Children's Ministry & the Ministry of Music.

Jessica Geitzenauer
Jessica Geitzenauer has been with Clear Lake Optometry since December of 2004. Jessica graduated from La'James Cosmetology in June of 2004. She graduated from Corwith - Wesley - LuVerne and currently lives in Clear Lake with her husband Brent, son Tre, daughter Skyla, and cat Zoe.
